No account. Very little data.
NextDiff is run by KriyaX Labs. This policy covers nextdiff.com and the NextDiff apps for Android and iPhone. Last updated October 7, 2026.
The short version
- You never need an account, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number to read NextDiff.
- We don’t run ads, analytics or tracking, and we don’t sell or share personal data.
- The only thing the app sends us is an alert token, and only if you turn on alerts.
The website
nextdiff.com doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like every website, our hosting providers (Cloudflare and Google Cloud) process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse; these logs are kept only as long as those providers need them for security and operations.
Some stories embed YouTube videos. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and the player only loads when a story contains a video; once it plays, Google’s own privacy policy applies.
The NextDiff app
On your phone only: stories you save (including their offline copies), your reading history and your settings, such as text size and alert topics. They never leave your device, and you can clear them any time in Settings or by uninstalling the app.
Alerts (optional): if you allow notifications, your phone gets a push token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), which delivers alerts on Android and passes them to Apple’s push service on iPhone. We store that token on our server together with the alert topics you chose (for example “Breaking news” or “AI”) and your platform (Android or iOS). We use it only to send you those alerts.
Turning every alert topic off deletes the token from our server immediately. If you uninstall the app, the token stops working and we remove it the next time an alert is sent.
To show stories, the app downloads them from nextdiff.com, so the same hosting logs described above apply.
Service providers
We use Google Cloud and MongoDB Atlas to run our servers and store alert tokens, Cloudflare to serve the website, and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service to deliver alerts. They process data only to provide these services to us.
Children
NextDiff is a general-audience tech news service and isn’t directed at children under 13.
Your choices and contact
You can turn alerts off at any time in the app’s Settings or in your phone’s settings. For any privacy question or request, email hello@nextdiff.com.
If this policy changes, we’ll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
